Weekend Talk – Google Adsense and 3rd Party Ads
It was a dilemma I faced when I was setting up the Micro Niche experiment blog last week. I wanted to place ads from Bidvertiser with Google Ads, to give better options to the visitor and, in a way enhance their experience. Bidvertiser was clear; We have no problems having our ads run side by side another agency. I wasn’t honestly concerned about Bidvertiser. It was Google that was bothering me. What if Google did not like 3rd party ads run next to it? What if, without warning, they cut me off?
I decided it was time for some action. I fired up a mail to them hoping for a clear cut reply. 2 days later, the reply was at my inbox. I read it. I was happy. They were pretty clear. They did not have a problem, but had certain conditions. They always have. Here is the question and answer session, straight from the horse’s mouth.

The Politics of Guest Blogging
This week I am not posting the usual Review Thursday column. Since I haven’t written any good posts, I decided to compensate for it today. I am yet to recover completely and so, not really in the best of my writing moods. Nevertheless, lets see what I come up with.
Guest Blogging. We all know what it is. You draft a post, contact another blogger in your niche and request your article to be published. If he accepts, good. If not, you move onto another blogger and repeat the process.

A Fresh Look at SEO for 2008
Here is a fresh look at SEO for your business in 2008. I was reading a book on SEO by Dan Thies today and was very impressed by his approach to Search Engines. Like every book/thesis on SEO, Dan covers the basics of Search Engines in the beginning and then goes to explore the deeper concepts.
Dan’s strength in the book is what he calls and describes the “First Tier, Second Tier and Third Tier Pages” and how to control them for maximum Pagerank flow to important sections of a site. It isn’t very easy to understand at first, but Dan has taken the effort to explain the concept pretty well.
I can go on, but my health doesn’t permit me to. The book is about 100 pages long and comes with illustrations and examples to ease the process of comprehension. Without further delay, go to Dan’s website and download the book. Did I mention it was free?

Sunday Blogbits – Micro Niche Marketing re-visited
This is a post I was supposed to have written on Sunday. I am feeling somewhat better today and decided to pen down some thoughts here.
A pretty slow week for me, after the accident I met with. I haven’t really monitored anything in the Blogosphere. To top it, my wife’s aunt expired today due to completely unknown reasons. After spending over $10,000, the doctors could not diagnose the cause of death. I guess, our medical system is still in its growth stage.

I have to take a break
I met with an accident on Wednesday morning and badly injured my left knee. I have no choice, but to take a break from writing this week. I will resume possibly on Sunday or coming Tuesday. I need to rest until then. Have a good weekend.
