Sunday Blogbits – Performance Report and more
Blogrepreneur has entered its 3rd month. January was a pretty slow month, mainly due to my busy schedule and the accident I met with, in the late second half of the month. Nevertheless, there were a couple of interesting developments worth taking note of.

Sunday Blogbits – Micro Niche Marketing re-visited
This is a post I was supposed to have written on Sunday. I am feeling somewhat better today and decided to pen down some thoughts here.
A pretty slow week for me, after the accident I met with. I haven’t really monitored anything in the Blogosphere. To top it, my wife’s aunt expired today due to completely unknown reasons. After spending over $10,000, the doctors could not diagnose the cause of death. I guess, our medical system is still in its growth stage.

Celebrity Bloggers: How Google Found them
The title has no direct relation to what I am writing today. I had to gain your attention. The information I am sharing is pertinent to your growth as a
Search Engine Marketer and will help you outrank your competition in a healthy manner, so you do not make enemies.
So, what are we dealing with today? Long tail keywords.
Long tail keywords are your entry into highly competitive niches. Long tail keywords ensure that you get a fair share of any niche market you enter, regardless of how fierce and dangerous your competition is. Long tail keyword is also a key strategy in getting ranked in Search Engines in the shortest time possible.
Let us take an example scenario. I want to enter the online “Travel deals” market. I want to start a website so I can provide online consumers best travel deals, saving them a chunk of their cash and earning myself a nice commission. So, I am all excited to commence the project. I plan a nice looking website, research the companies that are offering best deals in the travel sector, while at the same time running an affiliate program. I then move onto planning my SEO strategy. To start, I research Google to get an idea of the competition out there. What do I see?

Weekend Talk – An update on Micro Niche Finder
In my last post, I discussed about how you can use Micro Niche Finder to gain insight into smaller and profitable niche markets to develop a passive Adsense or affiliate marketing portfolio. Towards the second half, when I was discussing the feature, I ended up criticizing the SOC feature. SOC stands for Strength of Competition. My first impression was, this was a useless addition to the tool. I retract. I initially wanted to edit my post, but for the sake of honesty, decided to keep it.
Nevertheless, SOC is a very useful feature. It shows you strength of the competition based on the amount of work that has gone into it. What do I mean by that? I am referring to the number of times the keyword has been used a anchor text on backlinks that are pointing towards that particular site. It also shows how many sites have used the keyword in their title tag.

Weekend Talk - Making money in Saturated Markets
It is often said and believed that making money in an already saturated market is equal to a long waged war with the enemy. In a saturated market,
the competition is fierce and there will be a TOP 10 player list who will control the majority of that particular niche. This is true for every niche.
In spite of the above Gospel truth, there are netrepreneurs who get into a saturated market and make money in a short time. The first impression obviously is that of surprise. How do they make it? What propels them above the Top 10 cult? And various other questions.
