My name is Brent Crouch. I am pleased to announce I am the new owner of Blogrepreneur.com. I purchased this site from Mr. Althaf Ahmed on Sitepoint a few weeks ago.

Althaf has done an excellent job of building and promoting this site. I plan to follow in his footsteps by continuing to provide excellent information and resources for those interested in starting and promoting an internet based business.

Althaf will not be a stranger around here. He is always welcome to post and plans to guest post when he has the opportunity.

I met with an accident on Wednesday morning and badly injured my left knee. I have no choice, but to take a break from writing this week. I will resume possibly on Sunday or coming Tuesday. I need to rest until then. Have a good weekend.

Launching Affiliate Review Section

Starting 2008, I will be scanning the Internet for reliable products and services and post a review of them every Thursday. I am still working on the review format. The first review should go live next Thursday. I will be including Affiliate URLs in the review and hence, only top notch products will be reviewed. This is my first step to monitizing this blog. In case, I review a mediocre product to create awareness, there wont be any affiliate URL included. For me, reputation is more important than money. I will be posting my Affiliate review policy in the upcoming Sunday Blogbits edition.

Stay tuned to this section next week. You will definitely benefit from the readings.

Ideally, this isn’t something to announce to the world. I am doing so because of one extra feature in the new design. The video section. I am some very good plans for the video section. At the moment, there is a sample video by Jack Humphrey. In that sense, the video section isn’t really inaugurated yet.

The blog really looks impressive now. I couldn’t help self-praising it. It has all the features I ever thought of. Now all that is remaining is the implementation. I shall materialize them one by one. My aim is to turn the blog into a media portal, without giving it the traditional portal look.

I will be away till Saturday. I have time stamped a resource post for tomorrow. Meanwhile, take the time to download and read my book.

I have released my book finally

Yes, my programmer fixed the download area today. You can see it in the sidebar, below the book cover. Go ahead and download a copy right now. I promise, the contents won’t disappoint you. I am not a con man, and so the book contains no promotional links or any kind of “behind the door” sales pitch. I have worked for many weeks on it and with the only intent of sharing knowledge and value.

I will definitely appreciate if you can spread the word about the book and refer people to my blog here for people to download. Without readers, my efforts will go in vain.

Well, what else do I have to say? Hmm yeah, I am excited and a bit nervous because this is my first book. Wondering how the blogosphere will respond to it. I am going to keep a positive outlook.

My programmer is busy and so I have to postpone the release to next 48 hours. I need to get the sidebar coded to enable members to download the book after an email opt-in process.

So, in short, I apologize for the wait and not being on schedule. I will do my best to get it up in 48 hours.

Alright, I am launching the campaign on Sunday, the 25^th of November. The contest will run for a full 4 weeks. 2 winners will be selected randomly every week and prizes for the week will be given respectively.

Eligibility:

The rules of the game are fairly simple. You gain eligibility to the contest either by subscribing to my RSS by email or by talking about my blog in yours and spreading the word.
