A Recap of November 2007

I launched this blog on the 12th of November. The blog started off the usual way everyone begins. I had given a few statistics in my first post promising to return to it every month to gauge the growth. I have to admit the blog has taken off very well and that I am happy with the 18 days progress report. So, let us recap the figures:

  • Alexa Rank – 2,176,961 -> 880,401
  • Google PR – NA – Same
  • Backlinks – 0 -> 120
  • Technorati – 3+ million -> 461,000
  • RSS Subscribers – 0 -> 97

Ok Ok, I agree the RSS Subscribers shot up because of the contest. Nevertheless, it was an achievement that cannot be ignored. Apart from this, 3 days back one of my articles was featured on the front page of Shoutwire sky rocketing the visitors from 70+ to 700+ for 3 days. It was again a positive feeling and a healthy motivation to continue.

Today is the first week of the contest and I have picked up 2 winners at random. The first winner is Laura Williams for a $25 gift certificate from Amazon.com. For December, I plan to continue as usual with one exception. I will be posting once every 2 days rather than everyday. This is mainly because of my tight schedule at Royal Forex. The company has expanded to Switzerland and now is building up office in Dubai, U.A.E. Busy times ahead.

I also plan to open up Guest Blogging area. Dee Wilson opened up the category with her article on Social Marketing. Excellent writing Dee.
